Dawood's aide Farooq Takla arrested by CBI

New Delhi: One of the close aides of the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, Mushtaq Mohammad Farooq alias Farooq Takla, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI sources said here on Thursday.

According to the probe agency sources, Farooq Takla arrived here from Dubai. He is being taken to Mumabi where he will be produced in the designated court.Farooq will be produced before a court in Mumabi for his alleged involvement in the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai. A total of 257 people had died in the blasts.A red notice was issued against Takla in 1995 and was wanted in cases of terrorist activities, extortion, murder, etc.(UNI)
