Palestinian ambassador shares stage with terrorist Hafiz Saeed

New Delhi: India on Friday said it will "strongly" take up the matter of Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan Waleed Abu Ali sharing stage with banned terrorist outfit Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief and mastermind of Mumbai terror attack Hafiz Saeed and said the issue would be raised with Palestinian envoy in New Delhi and with Palestinian authorities.

"We have seen reports in this regard.We are taking up the matter strongly with the Palestinian Ambassador in New Delhi and with the Palestinian authorities", the official spokesman in the Ministry of External Affairs, said in response to a query.Waleed Abu Ali, the Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan, was seen sharing the stage with Saeed, who has been designated as a 'global terrorist' by the United Nations.

According to reports, the Difa-e-Pakistan Council, a coalition of hardline Islamic parties in Pakistan that campaigns aggressively against India and the US, is understood to have held a show of strength in Rawalpindi's Liaqat Bagh on Friday. (UNI)
