Kakinada: Two Bhavani devotees were knocked down fatally by a speeding car when they were walking on the National-Highway 16, on the outskirts of Tuni town in this district, 55 kms from here on Saturday.
Police said the accident occurred when the devotees were on their way from Srikakulam to Vijayawada by walking in a group to have the darshan of the Goddess Kanaka Durga.
Tuni Rural Police, who registered a case, identified the deceased as Eswerarao (38) and Santhosh (28).
The bodies were shifted to Area hospital at Tuni for post-mortem.
