People of Manali’s Goshal village will not watch TV, keep mobile phones on silent for 42 days as deities go on meditation

Shimla (HP): Goshal village of Manali, the tourist town in Kullu district people will neither watch TV nor listen to radio or make any noise and will keep their mobile phones on silent mode for the next 42 days beginning from Makarsankrati so that the meditation of the Gods is not disturbed.
 
This unique divine culture has been going on in Ghoshal and in some nearby villages since ages.
 
In Kothi, Solang Palchan, Kulang, Mazhach villages adjacent to Goshal village, there is a divine ban on making loud noise and even today the villagers follow the ban with full devotion.
 
Hari Singh, one of the local Kardar said that the people of the village are bound by the orders of God.
 
On Makar Sankranti, the doors of the temple of God Kanchana Nag, Beas Rishi and Gautam Rishi in Ghoshal village is closed, and the Gods sit on meditation (TAPASYA).
 
A local priest said on Makar Sankranti a paste of soil filtered through a cloth is applied on the idols of the deities and after worship, the doors are closed.
 
Agricultural activists stopped in some villages adjacent to Ghoshal village for 42 days.
 
The agricultural activists start only after the temple doors are opened on Fagli festival and Gods give their blessings to the villagers.
 
Only after that people in the villages will start listening to radio, watch TV and also do agricultural works.
