10 Bangladeshi women among 22 held for residing without documentation in Maharashtra

Palghar: As many as 22 Bangladeshi nationals, including 12 women, were arrested on Wednesday for residing here without documentation.
Talking to UNI, police spokesman Hemant Katkar stated that the arrested illegal immigrants were staying in makeshift dwellings in Rajodi village of Arnala and sustained themselves by doing petty jobs.
 
Acting on a tip-off,  police and Anti Human Trafficking Cell teams raided the premises late Tuesday night and arrested them this morning.
 
Offence against them have been registered under The Passport Act of 1920 as well as The Foreign Nationals Act of 1946 with the Aarnala Police Station, apprised police.(UNI)
