New Delhi: The Delhi Legislative Assembly on Tuesday suspended 21 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, including Leader of Opposition Atishi, for three days for creating ruckus and sloganeering during Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena's address.

Regarding the disruption caused by AAP MLAs during Mr. Saxena's address, Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh brought a resolution in the House demanding strict action against those who indulged in undignified acts, which was supported by MLA Abhay Verma and demanded suspension of all 21 members for three days.

Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta moved a motion to suspend 21 AAP MLAs for three working days, which was accepted by the House by a voice vote.

Of the 22 AAP MLAs, Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was not present in the House on Tuesday.
