New Delhi: About 71.93 per cent voter turnout was registered till 1800 hrs in 72 assembly seats during the second phase of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.''It was a peaceful and incident-free polling in the state,'' Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha said at press conference here.
He said it it is interim poll percentage and final figures are yet to come.He said 76.42 per cent voter turnout was registered in the first phase of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh.Mr Sinha said the overall voter turnout for the state was 74.17 per cent.(UNI)
