45 women b/w 10 and 50 yrs register their names for Sabarimala temple darshan

Sabarimala:As many as 45 women who are in the age group between 10 and 50 years, have registered themselves in the digital crowd management system -- Virtual Q -- for darshan at Sabarimala temple for the upcoming Mandalam-Makaravilakku festival beginning from November 17.
According to sources here, the women registered their names for darshan through Virtual Q, an initiative of the Kerala Police to control the crowd during the festival season.Most of them registered their names before the SC decision to refer its earlier verdict of September 28, 2018 allowing entry for women of all ages into the temple to a larger seven-member bench.
In 2018, Women's rights activist and founder of Bhumata Brigade Trupti Desai tried to enter the temple, she could not succeed due to protest from devotees.
 
Kanakadurga, who managed to Sabarimala last time said she would visit the shrine again as the SC didn't stay the September 28, 2018 verdict.Bindu Ammini, who came to Sabarimala with Kanakadurga, said she will not visit this time as she gives more important to family affairs.(UNI)
