After District panchayat BJP gains big in Block Pramukh polls, grabs 635 out of 825 seats

Lucknow: Ruling BJP has repeated its feat in the Block Pramukh elections similar to the result of District Panchayat chairpersons in Uttar Pradesh when it won more than 85 percent of the 825 blocks on Saturday.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath along with state BJP president Swantra Deo Singh, here at the state party headquarters claimed that BJP candidates were winner in at least 635 blocks out of the total 825.
 
In the results and trends that have come out so far, BJP along with its allies is winning more than 635 seats in the election of Kshetra Panchayat chief, CM disclosed.
 
"Today the election results of the block chief have shown that the public's mood is towards the BJP," Yogi Adityanath said while thanking the people of the state for supporting the party.
 
"This elections proves of people faith in the BJP government and the hard work of the party leaders and workers," CM said.
 
On 735 out of 825, BJP had fielded its candidates, on the rest allies were contesting. Around 335 BJP block pramukhs were elected unopposed.
 
"This winning number will increase after the full results are out. I am happy to inform that the strategy of the party was carried forward through the people's representatives and workers, the result was that the BJP and allies won 67 seats out of 75 district panchayat presidents," said CM.
 
Yogi Adityanath said,"75852 Kshetra Panchayat members have elected 825 block chiefs, there was a big election process and we conducted elections with transparency."
 
In the district panchayat chairperson polls, held early this month, BJP grabbed 67 of the 75 districts.(UNI)
