Al Qaeda's branch Ansar Ghazwatul Hind wiped out from Kashmir

Srinagar: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Wednesday stated that Al Qaeda's offshoot Ansar Ghazwatul Hind, has been wiped out from Kashmir valley with the killing of three militants, including its top commander.(Pic-Twitter)
 The DGP said that Jash-e-Mohammad (JeM) was coordinating with all militant groups active in the valley on the behest of Pakistan, which is trying to push ultras into the valley on regular basis. "Pakistan is violating ceasefire on regular basis to facilitate infiltration of militants into this side of Line of Control (LoC)," the DGP told reporters here during a press conference.
 
Giving details about Tuesday's encounter in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, he said all the three militants killed in the encounter were locals and belonged to Ansar Ghazwatul Hind.
 He said after the killing of the Zakir Musa in an encounter, the command of the militant group was given to Hameed Lone alias Hamid Lelhari. "He was carrying many activities in the area. The militant group was wiped out but he was still persuading youth to join militant ranks," the DGP said.
 
The DGP said Lelhari also able to recruit Naveed Ahmed Tak and Junaid Rashid Bhatt, the other two militants killed in the encounter. "The trio was carrying out activities in close coordination with JeM," he said.The Police chief said Lelhari had joined militant ranks in 2016 and was involved in many militant activities since then. 
 
"He was involved in many attacks on security forces, including attack on forces in Kakapora and killing of a civilian in the area," Mr Singh added.(UNI)
