New Delhi: Rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Alka Lamba on Saturday joined the Congress party in the presence of AICC in charge P C Chacko and other leaders here at the party headquarters on Akbar road.
After having difference of opinion with the AAP on many issues in the last few months, Chandni Chowk MLA Alka Lamba on September 6 had resigned from the primary membership of the party.Alka Lamba was disqualified by Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on September 19.
Ms Lamba had been with the Congress for 20 years before joining AAP in 2014. She had won the Delhi Assembly election from Chandni Chowk in 2015.(UNI)
