Bhopal: As a political crisis erupted in Madhya Pradesh after the rebellion of Gwalior royal Jyotiraditya Scindia against the Kamal Nath government, both Bharatiya Janata Party and Indian National Congress herded their MLAs on Wednesday.
With the scene of action shifting to New Delhi, Scindia  joined the BJP this afternoon. The 106 BJP MLAs were taken from here to New Delhi by a special aircraft late on Tuesday night. All these MLAs were put up at a hotel in Gurugram amid tight security.

More than 90 MLAs of the ruling INC are also being gathered here. Reports said that these lawmakers will be taken to a safe place outside the state by a special aircraft. At present, six ministers and 13 MLAs, said to be supporters of Scindia,  have been kept in a hotel in Bengaluru, reportedly under the patronage of BJP.

The legislature parties of both rivals conferred here on Tuesday evening. After the meeting, Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred that there is no threat to his government and the MLAs in Bengaluru are also in touch with him. ''We shall prove majority; our representatives are under confinement in the Karnataka capital but in touch with me. Let them be brought here and presented before the Fourth Estate. The government shall go on and I am unperturbed'', he said, debriefing journalists outside his residence.

There are two vacancies at present in the 228-member state assembly. The Chief Minister has written to  Governor Lalji Tandon to sack the six ministers in the Scindia camp.(UNI)
