Amit Shah cancels Bengal visit following blast in Delhi near Israel Embassy

New Delhi:Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday cancelled his two-day visit of West Bengal, following a minor blast near the Israel Embassy in the national capital.
Mr Shah was supposed to leave for Kolkata tonight, to begin his two-day tour of poll-bound state of West Bengal.The Home Minister was scheduled to address two rallies in West Bengal on Saturday and Sunday, along with his other political events in the state.
 
He was also to review the Party’s election preparation and consultation with state BJP leaders, in view of the upcoming Assembly elections in West Bengal. The Assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal in April-May.
 
A minor blast occurred on the APJ Abul Kalam Road, at around 1710 hrs on Friday near the Israel Embassy, casing damage of windscreen of three -four vehicles. No casualty has been reported in this blast.(UNI)
