Amit Shah's declared assets also include his mother's properties

BJP President Amit Shah had submitted an affidavit for Rajya Sabha elections, where he had declared his assets. It was found that his assets have grown three times in last five years. Now BJP has cleared that this also includes the properties Shah got from his mother.

In his affidavit, Shah has declared his properties as 34.40 crore rupees, of which 10.38 crores are ancestral. For Gujarat elections of 2012, Shah had declared his properties as around 11.15 crore. This gave the impression that his assets have increased three times in last five years. However, now BJP has cleared air on its president's assets.
