Andhra Pradesh floods: Pawan Kalyan announces Rs 6 Cr donation

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalayan announced Rs six crore donation individually to carry out relief operations in the flood-hit areas.
 
The Jana Sena chief said that Rs four crore would be given to 400 village panchayats, while Rs one lakh for each panchayat.

It may be mentioned here that Pawan Kalyan had already announced Rs one crore donation to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and Rs one crore donation to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Telangana.

He said that he would credit Rs one lakh to the bank accounts of 400 village panchayats directly.

Meanwhile, the Panchayat Raj employees have donated their one day wages. There are 1.64 employees in various departments and the donation of their one-day salary amounts to Rs 14 crore.

The Panchayat Raj engineer division will be donating Rs 75 lakh and Rural Water Supply employees announced donation of Rs 10 lakh to the CMRF.
