The Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to witness a grand saffron flag hoisting ceremony around noon on Tuesday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in attendance. The announcement was made by Champat Rai, general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra.
According to Rai, the ceremonial flag is a 10-by-20-foot triangular saffron banner featuring the symbols of the Surya, Om, and the sacred Kovidara tree.
He explained that the saffron colour signifies fire and the rising sun—an embodiment of sacrifice, purity, and devotion. “The entire world will be able to witness this moment live on television and mobile screens,” Rai said.
