Bihar Shocker! Policeman killed in attack by villagers while arresting criminal

Araria: An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Rajiv Kumar Mall was killed in an attack by villagers during the raid conducted in Laxmipur village under Phulkaha police station area in Araria district of Bihar on Thursday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mukesh Kumar said here that acting on a tip off, a police team from Phulkaha police station reached at Laxmipur village to conduct raid for arresting a ganja smuggler Anmol Yadav. Locals attacked police team during the raid, causing serious injuries to Mall who was rushed to a local hospital, he added.

"Mall succumbed to his injuries during the treatment ", DSP said adding that body had been sent for postmortem. Raids were being carried out to nab those involved in attack on police team, he informed.
