New Delhi: The BJP on Sunday took a dig at the Congress party and its President Rahul Gandhi over the Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's 'teary eyed' video where the JD(S) leader says he is not happy being the Chief Minister."Hope Rahul Gandhi doesn't tweet that there is 'Bhaey ka Mahol' (fear atmosphere) under BJP rule and we are forcing Mr Kumaraswamy to swallow the "Poison" of power," BJP spokesman Sambit Patra tweeted.
He further wrote: "I don't understand why these politicians are forced to consume poison of power....remember one night Sonia ji too in tears said 'Power is Poison'." Mr Kumaraswamy told his party workers during a celebratory ceremony in Bengaluru on Saturday that he was "not happy about being the Chief Minister".

"I have swallowed poison like Lord Vishakantha. You all are happy that I became the CM. But I'm not. It is true that I wished to become the Chief Minister of this state before the elections and promised people so many things. The people are now happy but I'm not happy being the CM," Mr Kumaraswamy has said.

The video of Mr Kumaraswamy making his statement braving tears has gone viral both on social network and television news channels. In his first budget recently, Mr Kumaraswamy announced a conditional waiver of farmer loans, setting aside Rs 34,000 crore.

It may be also mentioned that in January 2013, after his appointment as Vice President of the Congress party, Mr Rahul Gandhi had said in Jaipur: "Last night each one of you congratulated me. My mother came to my room and she sat with me and she cried... because she understands that power so many people seek is actually a poison".(UNI)
