New Delhi: Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk Alka Lamba on Saturday allegedly tried to slap an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker at a polling booth after he was accused of'misbehaving' with her.
The incident happened in her constituency when she came to cast her vote.
Ms Lamba ''attacked the AAP worker'' in front of the polling booth in Majnu Ka Tila.
Police officers present at the scene intervened as she raised a complaint with the officials.
The video shows that Lamba lunging with right hand raised high to slap him.
According to media reports, the AAP worker had asked Ms Lamba to remove an identity card carrying '' the picture of Congress symbol'' before entering the booth. Reacting to the incident, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said that they would file a complaint against Ms Lamba to Election Commission (EC).
She cast her vote at polling booth number 161 at Tagore Garden Extension. She is pitted against Prahlad Singh Sahni of Aam Aadmi Party and BJP's Suman Gupta.(UNI)
