Delhi test ends in a draw, India wins the series by 1-0

New Delhi: It was Sri Lanka's Dhananjay de Silva (119 Retired Hurt) and debutant Roshen Silva (74) unbeaten showed immense character and resolve to fight through tricky situation, taking the game to draw against India on last day of the three-match series at Feroz Shah Kotla here on Wednesday.

However, India winning the ninth consecutive Test series have equalled the world record of Australia from 2005-2008.India won the three-match series 1-0.India started their journey in 2015 defeating Sri Lanka 2-1 at their home ground.South Africa 3-0, West Indies 2-0, New Zealand 3-0, England 4-0, Bangladesh 1-0, Australia 2-1 and Sri Lanka 3-0.

India won their current series 1-0.India will now have a chance to make a new world record in the toughest tour of South Africa starting January next.India had set a target of 410 against Sri Lanka.Sri Lanka continued to the  overnight score of 31/3 batted brilliantly throughout the day, and de Silva's third Test century helped the tourists draw the match.Sri Lanka made 299 runs for 5 wickets in 103 overs till the match ended in a draw.
