Denied money for liquor & train ticket, a man jumps to river in Odisha

Kendrapada: A 30-year-old married man, Suvam Sekhar Swain, alias Lucky, of Narilo village under Sadar police limit, jumped from the Basupur bridge to the Luna River on Saturday to end his life after his family members refused to give him money.
 
Kendrapada Sadar police station IIC Saroj Sahu said on getting information, a couple of fire teams were deployed in search and rescue operations, but the youth are yet to be traced out.
 
As per reports, Lucky was working at a Hyderabad-based company. On Friday, he demanded that his family give him money to consume liquor and book a train ticket for him and his wife to go to Hyderabad.
 
But his wife refused to go with him, as he used to torture her. The family members later refused to give him money.
 
On Saturday, Lucky jumped from the bridge to the Luna River.
