Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, wanted in multiple high-profile criminal cases—including the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique—was brought to Delhi on Wednesday after being deported from the United States. He was taken into custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) upon landing, officials confirmed.

Anmol, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, will be produced before a special court in Delhi soon.

He is also a key accused in the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s Mumbai home in April 2024, as well as in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

Bishnoi was detained by U.S. authorities in November last year and was formally deported on Tuesday.

Baba Siddique—former Maharashtra minister—was shot dead on October 12, 2024, outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. So far, at least 26 individuals linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested in the case. Mumbai Police have also invoked the stringent MCOCA in the investigation.

Anmol Bishnoi, along with Shubham Lonkar and Zishan Mohammed Akhtar, has been listed as a wanted accused in the Siddique murder case.
