Gold worth Rs 1.40 cr seized from two passengers at Kannur Int'l Airpot

Kannur:Customs sleuths on Friday seized 2216 grams of gold worth around Rs 1.40 crore from two passengers who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in separate flights of Air India Express.

Customs sources said they seized 849 grams of gold from a passenger of Kasaragod, who arrived from Sharjah, while 1867 grams of gold seized from a passenger of Pannor, in Kannur district, who arrived from Abu Dhabi.The seized gold was concealed in their body and more details were not disclosed by Customs officials.(UNI)
