Gandhinagar: Trends on Monday indicated that the BJP is all set to form the government in Gujarat for the sixth consecutive term.Counting of votes for the 182 assembly seats in Gujarat, that went for polls in two phases, is underway.
So far, the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress had registered victory in 15 seats each.The BJP is leading in 85 while the Congress in 62 seats.In the first phase held on December 9, around 67 per cent of voters exercised their franchise; the second phase held on December 14 saw a voter turnout of 68 per cent.A party needs 92 seats to form the government.
