“Hands-legs tied, cloth wrapped around neck”: Wife dies during bondage sex in Tamil Nadu’s Hosur, husband arrested after murder claims by family

A 34-year-old gym trainer in Tamil Nadu has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife. The man, however, claimed that she died accidentally during the bondage sex.

Bhaskar owns four gyms in Hosur, while his wife Sasikala was also running a women-only gym. The couple got married in 2018 after falling in love. The couple have two children, aged two and four.

According to the statement given to the police by Bhaskar, he and Sasikala had consumed alcohol before engaging in bondage sex on April 30, during which he tied her hands and legs and wrapped a cloth around her neck. She then bled from her nose, prompting him to rush her to the hospital where she was declared dead.

However, Sasikala's father Arul refuted Bhaskar's claims and said that Bhaskar used to physically assault her daughter.

Arul also claimed that Bhaskar took a dowry of Rs 14 lakhs and after marriage he constantly assaulted her, physically and mentally. Bhaskar’s extra-marital affair led to frequent arguments between the two and Sasikala was a admitted to the hospital twice before and they have filed a complaint with the police.
