Panaji: Various Hindu organisations held demonstration under the banner of National Hindu Movement near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Ground at Dicholi in North Goa on Sunday demanded that Rohingiya Muslims not be given shelter in the country. This demonstration is part of the National Hindu Movement. A total 14 Hindu organisations and 500 Hindus participated in this demonstration. BJP's Bicholim MLA Rajesh Patnekar also participated in the same.
The demonstration commenced after blowing of the conch shell. Dr Manoj Solanki, state covenor of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) explained the motive behind staging the demonstration. Members belonging to Jai Sree Ram Gosanvardhan Kendra, Valpoi, Patanjali Yog Samiti and Bharat Swabhimaan, Swarajya Sanghathana Mapusa and Margao, Veer Savarkar Yuva Manch, Hindavi Swarajya, Margoa, RSS, Shiva Krupanand Swami Sampraday, Mayem Gramraksha Dal, Shivsena, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Sanatan Sanstha, Ranaragini and Gomantak Mandir and Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangh participated in the demonstration.
