Hindu outfit hails poll plank of BJP to free Temple in TN from govt control

Panaji: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on Saturday welcomed the promise of BJP MLA from Chikkamangaluru constituency in the state of Karnataka and BJP National General Secretary C T Ravi that all temples would be returned to devotees if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power.

 
In a statement, HJS National Spokesperson Ramesh Shinde said,''BJP MLA from Chikkamangaluru constituency in the State of Karnataka and BJP National General Secretary Mr. C.T. ''Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had assured that if the BJP came to power in Karnataka, all the temples in the State would be handed over to the devotees again, It was also mentioned in the BJP's election manifesto. After the BJP came to power in Karnataka, as a first step, cow protection law was legislated. In the same way, the decision to liberate all temples in Karnataka should be taken and hand them over to Hindu devotees,'' Mr Shinde said.
