Srinagar: One of the three militants killed in an encounter by security forces in south Kashmir district of Anantnag on March 12 morning was identified as a resident of Hyderabad, belonging to 'Ansar Ghazwatul Hind' (AGH), outfit.According to local media, the AGH in its website Al-Nasr, has claimed that third militant, who was not identified and declared as a foreigner, was a resident of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (AP).
It identified slain militant as Mohammad Taufeeq, alias Sultan Zabul Al Hindi alias Zarr Al Hindi, who has joined the group in 2017.Three militants' two of them identified as Eisa Fazili, a resident of Soura in Srinagar outskirts and Syed Owais Shafi, resident of Kokernag, were killed in an encounter at Hakoora, Anantnag, on March 12.
AGH surfaced in the valley in 2017 when three local militants as Zahid Ahmad Bhat, resident of Nowdal Tral, Muhammad Ishaq Bhat, resident of Batagund Tral and Muhammad Ashraf Dar, resident of Baghi Trich Pulwama were killed at Gulab Bagh, Tral in August. The slain militants were initially affiliated to Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) but then joined Ansar Ghazwatul Hind headed by Zakir Musa.(UNI)
