Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorist hideout busted, 5 IEDs fitted in buckets and tiffin boxes found in Poonch days after Pahalgam attack

Jammu: A joint team of security forces has recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and other war like stores from a terrorist hideout busted near the Line of Control in Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources here on Monday said during a routine patrol, a joint team of police and army in Suranthal forest area of Marhote, tehsil Surankote late on Sunday evening, busted a terrorist hideout.

“Five ready to use IEDs fitted in buckets and tiffin boxes, radio sets, wires, binoculars and blankets were recovered from the spot,” they said.

They added that the recovery has foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists while the searches are being conducted in the area.
