The launch event started with a video message from the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri. Pushkar Singh Dhami, who said – “Working on the ‘Digital India’ vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister and in an endeavor to transform Uttarakhand into a ‘Digital Devbhoomi’, Jio today has been successful in taking Jio 4G services to the last Indian village Mana in Uttarakhand. The start of 4G services by Jio in Mana village is commendable. Jio is the first operator to install a full capacity tower in such a remote location. I would like to thank Jio who is continuously working towards the development of the state on the digital landscape. I wish Jio will soon start its 5G services for the benefit of all the citizens of the state.”
Mana village, located in Chamoli district, is a designated ‘Tourism Village’ by the Uttarakhand Government that also has great mythological importance.
Serving ITBP personnel, villagers and tourists in Mana village will now stay connected, thanks to Jio. Alongside Mana, Jio will also cover other important areas like Bhim Shila, Vyas Cave, Ganesha Cave, etc. Jio 4G services in Mana are forward upgradable to 5G.
