Bengaluru: Uniform Civil Code (UCC), three free cylinders, Nandini milk found their place in BJP's manifesto for poll-bound Karnataka here on Monday.
The manifesto was released by BJP National President JP Nadda in the presence of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and his predecessor BS Yediyurappa at a private hotel.
The BJP has promised to implement UCC in Karnataka based on the recommendations given by a high-level committee which is to be set up for the purpose in its manifesto.
The manifesto also promises to give three free cooking gas cylinders to all BPL families annually - one each during the months of Ugadi, Ganesh Chathurthi and Deepavalai and also launch the "Poshana" scheme through which every BPL household will be provided with half litre Nandini milk every day and 5 kg Shri Anna through monthly ration kits.
The state will witness polling on May 10 and counting of votes on May 13. (UNI)
