Karnataka’s first opinion poll predicts a hung assembly

New Delhi: The state of Deccan land Karnataka will go for the polling on May 12. Political parties are pushing their socks to strengthen their votes. Amid comes the first opinion poll of the Karnataka, one month before the voting day. A survey conducted by one of the leading English news channel predicts that the state may be locked in a hung assembly this time.

The ruling Siddaramaiah emerges as the biggest choice for the CM face with 33 pc of the sample size .While only 26 and 21 pc Keralite recognized Yedurappa and Kumarswamy as CM face.  In vote percentage too congress is ahead of the BJP with a whisker. Congress may get 37 pc of vote share, BJP may get 35 and Janta Dal Secular may get 19 PC of votes. Despite with so many positive points congress fails to deliver the final punch as the seat projection predicts a hung assembly. In the seat projection congress is expected to win 90-101 seats. While the BJP is set to win 78-86 seats and JDS will win around 34-43 seats. No party is able to touch the magic number 112 in this opinion poll. (WD)
