Keep calm,Lockdown to last only till 14th April, says centre

New Delhi:The Centre on Monday dismissed media reports that ongoing 21-day nationwide lockdown would be extended beyond April 14.Rejecting ongoing speculation in certain media reports, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba termed is ''baseless''.
The Government owned Press Information Bureau (PIB) has also tweeted the denial of these reports quoting the Cabinet Secretary.''There are rumours & media reports, claiming that the Government will extend the #Lockdown21whn it expires.The Cabinet Secretary has denied these reports, and stated that these are baseless", PIB said this morning. 
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a complete lockdown of the country from March 25 until April 14 in a bid to stave off the fast-spreading coronavirus pandemic. As part of the lockdown, all non-essential services have been prohibited.
 
The media reports have been on the basis of the increasing numbers of COVID19 positive cases in India with no sign of abating.The number of COVID19 cases in India has exceeded 1,100 and the death toll in the country stands at 27.Most of the countries in the world are in various forms of lockdown with air travel brought to a near-complete halt.(UNI)
