New Delhi: Senior Advocate Ram Jethmalani has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of using objectionable words for Union Minister Arun Jaitley and said the latter asked him several times to teach a lesson to him. Mr Jethmalani, in his blog uploaded a copy of letter sent to the Chief Minister on July 20, in which he reminded Mr Kejriwal to ask his conscience how many times he used abusive words for the Minister and asked him to teach a lesson to Mr Jaitley.
The senior lawyer said, 'incidentally for the last couple of week you (Kejriwal) only met me briefly. However, your assistant Raghav Chadha and Advocate Anupam Srivastava have been briefing in the matter. One thing is certain I will not now appear in any matter for your defence, only pay the settled fees for the first matter and nothing for the second." The development comes close on the heels after Mr Kejriwal in an affidavit stated that he had not given any instruction to his counsel (Jethmalani) to use objectionable words against the Union Minister, following a complaint filed by Mr Jaitley alleging that scandalous questions were asked to him by the counsel in the defamation case against the Chief Minister and five other AAP leaders. They accused him of financial mismanagement during stint as the chief of the DDCA. (UNI)
