New Delhi, Aug 15 (UNI) While calling on the people of the country to take the Nation forward towards building a 'New India' by 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today denounced any kind of violence in the name of faith.
 
In his address to the Nation on the occasion of 71st Independence Day, The prime minister, describing Demonetisation and GST rollout as important steps in direction of bringing transparency in economic dealings, said the government's fight against black money and corruption would continue.
 
Expressing the commitment of the government towards alleviating conditions of farmers, the PM said his government would not rest till it gives the farmers ‘beej se bazar’ (seed to market) access.
 
Referring to Jammu and Kashmir, the PM, expressing the government's resolve to make the state the 'heaven' it had been known as the world over, said the situation in the state could be resolved only through embracing its people.
 
Expressing internal security as the foremost concern of the government, the PM said whether it was ‘seema’ (border) or cinema, cyber or space, India was capable of fending off all kinds of threats.
