Lucknow: Chanting her old rhyme that Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will go for pre-poll alliance only if it get respectable seat share, party president Mayawati vowed to ousted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the power in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for their 'anti-people' stand.
Addressing a press conference from her new private residence, the BSP president on Sunday made it clear that her party would prefer to contest alone if they don't get respectable seats in the Mahagathbandan.

"We are preparing for contesting all the seats in the Lok Sabha and the assembly elections so that in case of any failure for alliance, the party do not lag behind," she asserted.

BSP president slammed the BJP for its 'anti-people' attitude and policies like demonetisation. She said that by making amendments in SC/ST atrocities act, the BJP was trying to woo voters of Dalits  and other communities.

Ms Mayawati alleged that the Dalits were 'still harassed' in the country and atrocities against them have 'increased'. She alleged that BJP had done just a bit for Dalits but their claim big.

She said that BJP was trying to take political mileage over the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The BSP president said that the BJP had till yet not given a satisfactory reply in 'non-transparency' in Rafale fighter aircraft deal.

"The rise of price of petroleum products, devaluation of rupee and inflation have hit the poor of the country the most but the BJP government was trying to divert the attention through such issues like cow slaughter and communal statements," the BSP president said.

Ms Mayawati, moreover, held both the Congress and BJP, equally responsible for the financial mess, which is leading to non-investment by several industrialists.BSP president categorically rejected links with Dalit organisation-- Bhim Army--active in western UP.(UNI)
