Madhya Pradesh: 2 women Maoists killed in encounter with police in Mandla

Mandla/Bhopal: Two women Maoists were killed in an encounter with police in Madhya Pradesh's Mandla district on Wednesday, police said.

According to police sources, sophisticated weapons, including SLRs and wireless sets, have been recovered from the spot after the encounter in the forest area of Mandla district.

Police search operations in and around the area were still going on after the encounter.

Identification of women naxalites is being done. Mandla is adjacent to the Maoist-infested Balaghat district of the state. These districts are bordered by the state of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
