In a shocking incident, a man brutally attacked his wife over suspicion of infidelity in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district. The man reportedly gouged out both her eyes with a knife and inflicted multiple injuries, including on her private parts. The 24-year-old victim's condition remains critical.
The incident took place in the Pohri area on Wednesday.
According to the information, Shahnaz, a resident of Kakraua village, got married to Chhotu Khan, a resident of Chakrana village, 3 years ago. The couple frequently engaged in arguments as Chhotu used to doubt about Shahnaz’s character.
On the fateful day, he demanded Shahnaz’s mobile phone, but when she refused, she was attacked with a knife and sickle. After attacking his wife, Chhotu fled the scene.
The neighbours alerted the victim's family, and she was rushed to the district hospital, covered in blood. The police were also informed of the crime.
The Police are currently recording statements from the victim and her family. Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to track down the absconding husband.
