Mumbai:Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) state spokesperson and minority minister Nawab Malik on Monday denied accepting Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's resignation.
Nawab Malik gave a blunt reply to the controversy over the letter from former Mumbai Commissioner Paramvir Singh. He also clarified that the allegation was serious and action will be taken in view of the outcome of the inquiry.

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, who accused meeting with Home Minister Deshmukh while he was positive, has conspired to defame the Mahavikas Aghadi and the Home Minister.

The letter was written by Singh after his transfer. Knowing that Paramvir Singh would be transferred on March 17, he prepared chat evidence on March 16 by asking some questions.According to the chat, Home Minister Deshmukh met Sachin Waze in the last week of February.

Meanwhile, Deshmukh was on a tour of Vidarbha. At the same time, he was tested positive. He was hospitalised for 15 days and then discharged till February 27. His report came back negative on the same day.Malik also said that there was an attempt to defame him by fabricating evidence.(UNI)
