Nagpur: The BJP senior leader Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday alleged that Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s support (blessings) was constantly on Assistant Police Inspector (API) Sachin Vaze and added that the recent incident has tarnished the glory of the state.
Fadnavis, while speaking in a press conference in Nagpur, claimed that Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s support was constantly on API Sachin Vaze and the latest incident of the Home Minister has slandered the glory of the State.’
He further claimed that the former Commissioner of Police of Mumbai, Parambir Singh has acted as a whistleblower and has exposed a massive Police transfer racket through a letter to the HM.
The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in state Assembly further claimed that the current Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government is engrossed in transferring and promoting police officers to their benefit.
He further claimed that there are some monetary terms involved in the transfer process. Fadnavis also pointed out the failure of the Home Ministry in the Antilia Bomb Scare case.
Fadnavis claimed that Singh has exposed the MVA government but this is not the first time a senior officer has alleged the unethical involvement of the Home ministry in the transfer process.
“Not only Param Bir Singh but even the Ex-Director General of Police, Subodh Jaiswal also shared the fact in an extensive report to the Home Ministry, Fadnavis said.
“No action was taken on that. Even the officer who approached the DG with these reports, Ex CP of Intelligence department, Rashmi Shukla also faced consequences as she was transferred soon after she reported,” claimed Fadnavis.
While alleging all these, the former chief minister of Maharashtra further claimed that this cannot be done without the support of the Home Minister and the Chief Minister.
The NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar is trying to protect the government by revealing only the half-truth. “Had Mr Pawar taken right action at the right time, these situations would not have arisen, Fadnavis said.
“A free and fair probe must be initiated and the Home Minister Anil Deshmukh ought to resign”, Fadnavis demanded. (UNI)
