Aurangabad/Mumbai:Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole on Friday said that Maha Vikas Aghadi also wants the election of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly to be held in this session.
Speaking at Tilak Bhavan in Mumbai he said that the situation will become clear only after the corona tests of all the MLAs.He also charged the BJP “of playing politics on the issue by using governor office”.

He further said that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly will be from the Congress party and there are no differences in the tripartite alliance.

The Congress party will know the views of its MLAs and inform the party leaders and the candidate for the post of President will be announced, he said.

Speaking on the state's agriculture law, Mr Patole said that the laws should not be framed in a hurry considering the interests of farmers. The role of the Congress party and the Maha Vikas Aghadi government is to make a foolproof law in the interest of the farmers of the state and the entre's agricultural laws will not be enforced in the state.

Mr Patole told that the Supreme Court had rejected the review petition filed by the central government on the Maratha reservation issue, making it clear that the central government has the right to grant reservation.

With the 102nd Amendment, the powers of the states have been taken away by the Modi government at the Center. Therefore, even though the state has no right to grant reservation, the Fadnavis government enacted the reservation law and it could not survive in the Supreme Court, he added.(UNI)
