Mumbai: Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde on Monday denied marrying a woman who identified herself as Karuna Munde and claimed to be his first wife.

Munde has filed an appeal in the sessions court here challenging the order of the local court directing him to pay maintenance to a woman, who claims to be his first wife.

The NCP leader, in his appeal, contended that the local court "didn't apply his mind and passed an arbitrary order giving interim maintenance.

He is aggrieved by the order primarily on the ground that the local court erroneously passed it on the basis that the appellant (Dhananjay Munde) and the respondent number 1 (woman) are married to each other and thus there is domestic relationship between them.
