Maharashtra: Ganja worth Rs 14.9 cr seized at Mumbai airport from 2 passengers

Mumbai: In a significant seizure, the Customs officials at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSMI) here seized 14.9 kilograms of hydroponic weed (ganja), and arrested two passengers who arrived from Bangkok, officials said here.

According to officials, the international value of the sized contraband is approximately Rs 14.9 crore.

The action was taken based on a secret information gathered by Air Intelligence wing.

Both the passengers were arrested under various sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
