Mukul Roy makes a beeline of sensational allegations against BJP after joining TMC again

In his first presser after homecoming, the TMC founding member Mukul Roy made sensational allegations against the top leaders of BJP Bengal. In an exclusive interview to the local daily, Mukul Roy opened up about the 4-year stint with the saffron party. His candid talk with the scribe will surely be a bitter pill to swallow for the BJP Bengal leaders.
As per the interview, The TMC stalwart reportedly feels BJP's political culture and ethos are aloof to Bengal and the party will be confined to an outsider in the near future.BJP has failed miserably to grasp the culture of Bengalis. For instance, they made a bruhaha on the 'Jai Shree Ram' issue a few years ago, Despite knowing the locals revere Maa Durga here. He added that the state leadership of BJP is ethically and morally corrupt and even termed BJP state prez Dilip Ghosh as illiterate.

He also added that a no non-sense leader would be reluctant to join or stay with BJP as nothing is going right within the party. Mr Roy, who was BJP's national vice president, said it was now impossible to function in the BJP party.

Earlier,Former BJP vice president Mukul Roy on Friday returned to West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress, along with his son Subhranshu Roy in presence of party supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
 
The joining happened at the TMC headquarters at Tiljala where party youth national president andMP Abhishekh Banerjee welcomed Roy with uttariya.
 
Party supremo Mamata Banerjee said she never had any differences with Roy, who had joined the BJP under coercive circumstances.She said Mr Roy would function in the party as he was doing before leaving in 2017.Ms Banerjee said many others would also come in the -party.
 
Sixty-seven-year-old seasoned politician Mukul Roy, who had founded the TMC under the guidance of Mamata Banerjee in 1997, who had left the party in 2017 after differences cropped up between him and Ms Banerjee, became the national vice president of BJP and won Krishnanagar Uttar assembly seat on BJP ticket in 2021 by grabbing 54% vote share.
 
Besides Ms Banerjee and her MP nephew, many TMC ministers and party leaders, including
minister Partha Chatterjee, Subrata Mukherjee and others were also present at the Trinamool
Bhavan off the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass of the city.
 
Mr Roy has been distancing himself from the BJP for the last several days.Mr Roy, being BJP's national vice president, did not attend the June 8 meeting to discuss the post-election strategy called by the state BJP leadership.
