New Delhi: While congratulating Mr Ram Nath Kovind for his victory in the Presidential elections, the joint opposition nominee Meira Kumar today said that her battle for ideology would continue. Talking to reporters after the declaration of results for the Presidential polls, Ms Kumar said,'I want to make it very clear that today on 20th July 2017 my battle for ideology doesn't end. It will continue.
My fight for Secularism, the oppressed and the marginalised continues.' Congratulating Mr Kovind for his victory, she said,'My best wishes with Kovindji as it has fallen upon him to uphold Constitution in letter and spirit in these challenging times.' She also thanked members of Collegium who voted for her. 'I thank all my well wishers for their support and good wishes. I want to thank members of Collegium who have voted for me, all those who unanimously made me candidate in this election,' Ms Meira Kumar said. (UNI)
