New Delhi: At the end of first round of counting of votes for the Presidential polls today, BJP-led NDA nominee Ram Nath Kovind established comfortable lead by over 38,000 votes against Meira Kumar, the joint Opposition candidate.
Announcing this, Secretary General of Lok Sabha, Anoop Mishra, who is the Returning Officer for the polls, said of the four states - for which counting has been completed, Opposition nominee Meira Kumar drew blank from Andhra Pradesh. He said Mr Kovind's vote value from the state was - 27,189. Voting has been completed also for the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Bihar. (UNI)
