Nashik: A minor argument reportedly led to the death of a Class 10 student outside a private coaching centre in Ashok Nagar area of Satpur in Nashik late on Saturday, creating tension in the area, police said on Sunday.

Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the case.

The student was identified as Yashraj Tukaram Gangurde (16), a resident of Satpur. Police said he studied in class 10 and took private tuitions near Heer Garden in Ashok Nagar.

Witnesses said that a minor argument took place in the area after the classes ended in the evening while Yashraj and his friends were chatting. Teachers claimed Yashraj suddenly fainted and fell down. He was immediately shifted to the District Government Hospital.

He was declared dead after a medical examination late at night. The exact cause of Yashraj's death would be known after the autopsy report, police said.
