New Delhi: In compliance of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) order on Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday took over the investigation of another case of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Kochi.
The NIA registered a case against eight persons at the NIA Police Station, Kochi under sections 38 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for being member of proscribed terrorist organisation Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or Daesh and for supporting the organisation by travelling or preparing to travel from Bahrain to Syria for joining the organisation that is waging war against the Asiatic nation having friendly relations with the Government of India.
The case was originally registered at Wandoor Police Station in Malappuram district of Kerala under sections 38 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 on November 6, 2017 against eight accused persons and others for being members and supporting the ISIS.
