New Delhi: The slash in price of petrol in Delhi by 60 paise per litre turned out to be an error in the official website of Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) which later stated that the cut was actually of "one paise" per litre in the national capital.
IOCL, earlier in the day, stated that the petrol price are reduced by 60 paise in Delhi and 59 paise in Mumbai, while diesel prices went down by 56 paise in the national capital and 59 paise in Mumbai.
The price of petrol in Delhi on Wednesday was Rs 78.42, Mumbai--Rs 86.23, Kolkata--Rs 81.05 and Rs 81.42 in Chennai.
The diesel price in Delhi is Rs 69.30, Kolkata--Rs 71.85, Mumbai--Rs 73.78 and Rs 73.17 in Chennai. The fuel prices from the last 16 days have been continuously rising. (UNI)
