PM Modi and Rahul give tribute to Bhagat Singh

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Durga Ashtami, while also recalling the contribution of great freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his 11th birth anniversary. In an official statement, Mr Modi said, 'Durga Ashtami greetings to everyone.

May the blessings of Maa Durga bring joy, peace in our society and remove all forms of injustice.' In a separate message, the Prime Minister bowed to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, on his 110th birth anniversary. 'I bow to the brave Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his Jayanti. His greatness and exemplary courage inspires generations of Indians.

Rahul pays tributes to Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi today paid tributes to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. 'My tributes to #ShaheedBhagatSingh on his birth anniversary. His valour and sacrifice will continue to inspire generations,' Mr Gandhi said in a tweet.
